Good quality sushi. Price is good for the quality you get. Price of each sushi plate is shown on a sheet. The amount you eat is pretty close to what you would spend at most Sushi spots in San Francisco but the quality of the sushi is good. Seating: We arrived during lunch on a Sunday. There wasnt a big crowd but as we ate there were people coming in. Seating was easy and a bit more spacious than it looks but still tight if you are trying to squeeze through. Service was great! would recommend this spot if you are in the area and craving sushi.

I've been coming to this place whenever I have a chance for about a decade now, and it's still my go-to favorite when I want some decent sushi. It's unfortunately never been on any of my commute paths over the years, so I only get to stop in when I deliberately have time to set aside. If not for that, I would probably be eating here quite frequently (to the dismay of my wallet). The fish is always good, there's plenty of variety, and the chefs in the center are very friendly and easy to ask for something if you're not seeing what you want going around. They'll also gladly tell you what something is if you don't know what a particular plate is. They've always got smiles when they're working as well, even when it seems busy during a frantic lunch rush. The space is very small so it can definitely get pretty noisy when it's full and feel cramped, so if those are things you dislike please be aware of that. I mostly go solo so I don't have much difficulty with wait times and such, but seats do fill up fast so there can be a good wait if you're coming as a group. I wouldn't bring bigger than 3 or 4 total, it gets much harder for available seating to open up if the group is more than that. I like coming here over other sushi places because the quality for price is pretty fair, and the conveyor style makes it more relaxed for me to take my time and enjoy what I get. The portions of fish are always generous too, sometimes I have to take two bites because putting the whole piece is nearly impossible. When I have someone visit who wants to get sushi, this is where I take them and we always leave happy and full to bursting.

Tenroku Sushi offers a fun and casual kaiten-style (conveyor belt) sushi experience right in the heart of Japantown. The presentation is colorful and appetizing—each plate neatly prepared and portioned. The ikura gunkan was especially generous with roe, bursting with flavor. The seared salmon topped with spicy tuna and roe added a nice smoky richness, while the classic salmon nigiri was buttery and fresh. Sweet shrimp nigiri was plump and sweet, and the seared white fish had a delicate texture with a touch of yuzu or ponzu. The scallop sushi was tender and mild, and the maguro was lean and satisfying. It’s not premium omakase, but for the price and convenience, Tenroku Sushi delivers solid value with plenty of variety. Great spot for a quick, tasty meal when exploring Japantown.
